Coastal Road

This was a large family home (6 bed, 3 bath) undergoing a complete renovation to a very high specification. The work required a completely new fully integrated heating and water system designed and installed during the 10-month redevelopment build.

This was a very high-spec domestic redevelopment. As well as requiring efficient inbuilt systems such as underfloor heating and concealed pipework, the whole system needed to be as ‘background’ as possible. Working closely with the clients and the builders, our design team recommended a system that would work efficiently and adapt to the flexible requirements of an active family. It also had to remain inconspicuous and offer very little outward elements to spoil the sleek redesign of the property.

The design was realised through our full in-house consultancy team focussing on efficiency and the zoning requirements of this large multi-functional family home plus annexe. By employing the latest technology, we calculated fuel saving projections at a minimum of 30% on the previous costs, prior to extension. Our engineers worked closely with the site design consultant for a fully integrated and ‘hidden’ heating system.

Irlam UK installed an integrated heating and hot water system comprising Vaillaint boiler and hot-water cylinder. The system incorporated zoning specifications to distribute and conserve heat in open plan areas, individual rooms, the annexe and garage, with the flexibility to direct heat specifically where it was required. The project was completed in December 2016 and fully complemented the high standard of finish throughout the property, providing efficient flexibility whilst remaining unobtrusive. A full service package was provided. Irlam UK was awarded Heating Installer of the Year award, 2017: Northwest: WINNER

“We wanted to ensure we got this project 100% right, so we researched for a year to find the right business who could meet our heating needs.  Irlam UK was the perfect choice, Nick was on hand throughout a lengthy project, ensuring all the work could be built in and discreet.  Using ‘zoning’ throughout the layout, the energy savings he recommended are targeted to save us 30-40% energy reduction on our original estimate.  The result is incredible- it works!  Better than we ever imagined.”
